Illinois' embattled governor has hired the same public relations firm that represents former suburban Chicago police officer Drew Peterson.
That decision by Gov. Rod Blagojevich to use the Tampa-based Publicity Agency comes amid a media blitz that'll include appearances Monday on ABC-TV's "The View" and "Good Morning, America."
Monday's also the day Blagojevich's impeachment trial starts in the state Senate.
Blagojevich has given several interviews the last few days, portraying himself as the victim of vengeful lawmakers and special interests.
The PR firm's other notable Illinois client, Drew Peterson, has been named a suspect in the disappearance of his wife, Stacy Peterson. Peterson claims she left him for another man.
