Elgin Woman Dies From H1N1 Complications
Health Officials Suggests Victim Had Additional Health Issues That Contributed To Death
ELGIN, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
The Kane County Health Department announced Friday that a northwest suburban woman has died of H1N1 flu complications.
The 41-year-old Elgin woman had "underlying medical conditions," but officials would not offer additional details.
Kane County's first H1N1 victim died in May. He also had "underlying" medical issues, officials said.
Also Friday, the county announced it has received additional flu vaccine and plans to resume taking appointments through the end of December. The latest shipment included 5,000 doses.
