Des Plaines Bank Robber Sought
DES PLAINES (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
The Chicago FBI office has released surveillance camera photos of a man who robbed a TCF Bank branch in Des Plaines the day after Christmas.
On Friday, Dec. 26, the man entered the Jewel store at 1500 Lee St. in the northwest suburb and approached tellers at the TCF counter, according to a release from the FBI.
He presented a demand note and implied he had a weapon, though none was seen, the release said.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled in an SUV, the release said. A dye pack was included with the money and exploded in the parking lot.
The robber is described as a black male about 6 feet and 180-200 pounds.
