CHICAGO (CBS) ― The CTA says it will be forced to eliminate 39 bus routes on Nov. 4 unless state legislators approve more funding. Here are the 39 bus routes set to be eliminated. You can scroll down below the list to learn about alternate routes.

#X3 King Drive Express
Alternative service to the #X3 northbound from 95th Street is provided on the #3 King Drive local for much of the route. The #X3 is a peak only, rush hour directional route going to the North Michigan Avenue area.

#X4 Cottage Grove Express
Alternative service to the #X4 northbound from 95th Street is provided on the #4 Cottage Grove local for much of the route. The #X4 is a peak only, rush hour directional route going to the North Michigan Avenue area. The #4 turns from Michigan to Randolph so customers needing to travel farther north on Michigan Avenue will need to use an alternative service along Michigan.

#17 Westchester
The #17 operates from the Forest Park Station west along Madison to Bellwood where it turns south. Alternative service is provided on Pace Route 317. Portions of Madison are also served by Pace routes 303 and 310. (Pace routes subject to change.)

#19 United Center Express
The #19 operates to the United Center for basketball and hockey games, concerts and other special events. The Michigan Avenue portion of the route is served by multiple routes. Service along Madison is provided by the #20 Madison.

#X20 Washington/Madison Express
Alternate service for the #X20 is provided by the #20 Madison local for most of the route.

#X28 Stony Island Express
The #X28 operates locally along Stony Island and then travels express from 47th/Lake Park to the Loop on weekdays during rush hours only. Local service along Stony Island is provided by the #28. Express service to the Loop from 47th/Lake Park is available on the #2 Hyde Park Express (rush hours) or the #6 Jackson Park Express.

#X49 Western Express
The Western Express operates service from Berwyn on the north to 95th Street on the south. The #49 Western local is available as far south as 79th Street. Customers who need to travel south of 79th Street will need to use either the #49A South Western or Pace Route 349. (Pace routes subject to change.)

#53AL South Pulaski Limited
Service is provided on South Pulaski by the #53A South Pulaski local. The #53AL operates only during weekday rush periods.

#54A North Cicero/Skokie Blvd
Weekday rush hour service is provided on this route. No direct alternate service is available.

#X54 Cicero Express
Service north of Cermak is available on the #54 Cicero local. South of Cermak, service is available on the #54B South Cicero.

#55A 55th/Austin
Service west of Midway is provided on the #62 Archer and #63W West 63rd routes. No direct service will be available on Austin so customers will need to travel to 55th or 63rd to access alternate service.

#55N 55th/Narragansett
Service west of Midway is provided on the #62 Archer and #63W West 63rd routes. No direct service will be available on Narragansett so customers will need to travel to 55th or 63rd to access alternate service.

#X55 Garfield Express
Service on Garfield is provided by the #55 Garfield local.

#56A North Milwaukee
Service north of Jefferson Park is available on Pace Route 270. Locations on the west edge of the #56A (near Devon and Harlem) may be better accessed using the #68 Northwest Highway.

#62H Archer/Harlem
Service west of Midway is provided on the #62 Archer. Service along Harlem will be provided by Pace Route 307. (Pace routes subject to change.)

#64 Foster/Canfield
Service along Harlem is available on the #90 Harlem. The northern part of the route will be served by Pace Route 209. (Pace routes subject to change.) No service will operate on Foster or Canfield.

#69 Cumberland/East River
Service is provided from Cumberland on the #81W West Lawrence or Pace Route 331. Direct service to the Pavilion Apartments will not be available. (Pace routes subject to change.)

#X80 Irving Park Express
Service is provided along Irving Park by the #80 Irving Park local.

#85A North Central
Service to Central is provided by the #85 Central to Bryn Mawr and on Pace Routes 225 and 226 to Touhy and beyond. No service will operate on Caldwell or Lehigh.

#86 Narragansett/Ridgeland
The nearest alternate north-south route is on Austin. Travel to Wright College will require a transfer from #91 Austin to the #78 Montrose. Travel to Taft High school should be completed using the #91 Austin.

#90N North Harlem
Service north of the Harlem Blue Line Station is available on the #88 Higgins or Pace Route 423. (Pace routes subject to change.)

#93 California/Dodge
In Evanston, service is available on the #206 Evanston Circulator during rush hour periods. Direct service on the northern part of California in Chicago will not be provided. Alternative service is available on Western via the #49B North Western.

#96 Lunt
Service from the Howard Red Line along Touhy is available on Pace Route 290. This is 1/4-mile north of Lunt. (Pace routes subject to change.)

#120 Ogilvie/Wacker Express
Service to the Navy Pier area is provided using the #124 (which begins operation at the end of the morning rush - 8:30 am) and by using the #20 Madison or the #60 Blue Island/26th and transferring to the #29 State.

#121 Union/Wacker Express
Service to the Navy Pier area is provided using the #124 Navy Pier (which begins operation at the end of the morning rush - 8:30 am) and by using the #151 Sheridan and transferring to the #29 State, #65 Grand or #66 Chicago.

#122 Illinois Center/Ogilvie Express
Service to Illinois Center is provided on the #20 Madison or #60 Blue Island/26th. At the end of the morning rush, the #124 Navy Pier operates to Illinois Center (New East Side).

#123 Illinois Center/Union Express
Service to Illinois Center is provided on the #20 Madison or #60 Blue Island/26th. At the end of the morning rush, the #124 Navy Pier operates to Illinois Center (New East Side).

#125 Water Tower Express
Direct service to North Michigan Avenue is available on the #151 Sheridan from Union Station. Service from Ogilvie to North Michigan Avenue requires a transfer from the #14 Jeffrey Express, #20 Madison or #60 Blue Island/26th to a northbound Michigan Avenue service (#3 King Drive or #26 South Shore Express on Michigan or #145 Wilson/Michigan Express, #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, #147 Outer Drive Express, or #151 Sheridan on State Street).

#127 Madison/Roosevelt Circulator
Service on the Madison portion of the service is available via the #20 Madison, #56 Milwaukee or #60 Blue Island/26th. The Roosevelt portion of the route is served by the #12 Roosevelt. Michigan Avenue is served by numerous bus routes.

#129 West Loop/South Loop
Service for commuters in the South Loop traveling to the West Loop is available on the #1 Indiana during rush periods. From Columbus and 11th, customers may take the #14 Jeffery Express to the West Loop area.

#130 Grant Park Treasures
Service is provided from Ogilvie Station to the Museum Campus via the #14 Jeffrey Express. From Union Station, customers should take the #126 Jackson or #151 Sheridan to State Street and connect with the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express that travels to the Museum Campus.

#134 Stockton/LaSalle Express
Service to and from LaSalle Street is available on the #156 LaSalle. Service along Stockton and Sheridan is also provided by the #151 Sheridan.

#135 Clarendon/LaSalle Express
Service to and from LaSalle Street is available on the #156 LaSalle south from Belmont. From Irving Park, customers may also take the #136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express during rush periods.

#143 Stockton/Michigan Express
Service to Michigan Avenue is provided by the #151 Sheridan.

#144 Marine/Michigan Express
Service to Michigan Avenue is provided by the #145 Wilson/Michigan Express or the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express. The #147 Outer Drive Express operates from Foster/Marine express to Michigan Avenue.

#157 Streeterville
Customers may use the #124 Navy Pier or #151 Sheridan to travel between the West Loop and North Michigan Avenue corridors.

#165 West 65th
Service is provided on 63rd Street west of Cicero on the #63W.

#200 Main Shuttle
The #97 Skokie provides local service from Howard Station to Oakton/Dodge. Service operates on Oakton ½ mile south of Main Street.

#205 Chicago/Golf
Service on the Purple Line operates parallel to the #205 Chicago/Golf along Chicago Avenue in Evanston. Customers traveling west of downtown Evanston should use the #201 Central/Ridge or Pace Route 208. (Pace routes subject to change.)
