Boy, 9, Shot In Rogers Park Walking With Family
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A 9-year-old boy walking home with his family was wounded during a Friday night shooting in the Far North Side's Rogers Park community.
The boy was walking home with his family when he was shot at 6758 N. Ashland Ave., police said. Nobody else was wounded.
The boy was taken in good condition to Children's Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh, police said.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately known.
Belmont Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody Saturday morning.
