4 Stabbed In Cicero Gang Fight
CICERO, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
Four alleged gang members were wounded during a Sunday afternoon knife fight in west suburban Cicero.
Emergency crews responded about 1 p.m. to stabbing in an industrial area in the 6100 block of West Cermak Road, according to Cicero spokesman Elio Montenegro.
Police learned that a gang fight between the Latin Kings and Ambrose started in an unidentified location and ended with four alleged gang members being stabbed, Montenegro said.
Three people were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. Only one person suffered serious injuries, Montenegro said. The other person was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn where he was treated and released.
Detectives are investigating whether a chase preceded the stabbings and are interviewing witnesses Sunday afternoon, according to Montenegro.
Nobody is in custody Sunday afternoon.
