Police say Michael Connolly might have taken his two sons from LeRoy, Ill., to the Chicago area.

The mother of two missing boys is pleading with her ex-husband to return her children, and authorities say they might be in the Chicago area.
Illinois State Police have issued an Amber Alert for the two brothers, who are from the central Illinois city of LeRoy, between Bloomington and Champaign in McLean County.
The McLean County Sheriff's office says 9-year-old Duncan G. Connolly and his 7-year-old brother Jack D. Connolly were last seen at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the boys were last seen with their father, Michael Connolly, 40.
They are all believed to be in a 1991 Dodge Dynasty with license plate A326 109. The alleged abductor may be heading towards northwest suburban Hoffman Estates, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A felony warrant for kidnapping was issued on Monday, according to police.
Their mother, Amy Leichtenberg, told The (Bloomington) Pantagraph that Connolly was scheduled to drop the boys off at the LeRoy Police Department on Sunday, but never showed up.
"Mom loves you, please come home!" Leichtenberg said between sobs in a television interview. "I'm sending out everyone I can to find you."
Connolly, 40, had court ordered visitation with his two children on Saturday, March 7, and failed to bring back his kids to the LeRoy police station on Sunday, McLean County Sheriff's Sgt. Welsch said. The father has a history of domestic issues and is mentally unstable, he said.
"He's had some hard times, and may be suicidal," Welsch said. "His state of mind we're concerned with."
Police said Michael Connolly may bring the boys to the Chicago area because he has family here.
Duncan Connolly is 3-foot-6 and 66 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his upper lip on the left side and a birthmark on his right thumb, the Amber Alert said. He was last seen wearing a green coat, burgundy hooded sweater, black shirt, and black pants with a red stripe.
Jack Connolly, the younger boy, is 3-foot-4 and 62 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, a scar on his right eyebrow and a surgical scar behind his right ear, the Amber Alert said. He was last seen wearing a red and blue coat, blue shirt and red and blue pants.
Their father is 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
The father and his two children are of Asian descent.
