Grief counselors will be on hand at Sandwich High School, after a teenager from the town died from the H1N1 flu.
The teen's name is not being released, but health officials said the patient died Sunday.
The DeKalb County Health Department confirmed the student had suffered from H1N1.
The teen was a student at Sandwich Community High School last year, but did not attend the school at all this year because of sickness.
Health officials are investigating whether the teen had any prior health conditions.
Before Monday, a total of 20 people had died of the H1N1 flu in Illinois this year, according to the state Department of Public Health.
