Some Chicagoland Walgreens' Have H1N1 Vaccine

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (CBS) ― It's a chance for you to get vaccinated against H1N1 without having to wait in long lines. Some Chicagoland Walgreens' have limited supplies of the vaccine.

At the Michigan City, Indiana Walgreens on Highway 20 they have 700 doses of the nasal vaccine. When CBS 2's Mike Puccinelli stopped by Tuesday, there was no one in line to get the highly coveted vaccine.

"We've had the vaccine for about a week. And there hasn't been much of a rush in LaPorte County," said pharmacy manager Jada Anderson.

CBS 2 has also learned that there is a Walgreens in Downers Grove that has a limited supply of the nasal vaccine.

The live vaccine is recommended for healthy adults between 2 and 49 years of age. If you live with a baby under six months of age it is recommended that you get the vaccine.

The federal guidelines also call for students under the age of 24 to get vaccinated.

Last month, when the city and suburbs first started supplying vaccine, some of the lines stretched for blocks. Many of those in line had to wait for hours in order to get vaccinated.

The H1N1 vaccine at Walgreens costs $18.
