Ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's new book doesn't come out until September but it's already on sale.
Online retailer Amazon.com is selling his book, "The Governor," for 34 percent off list price. The hardcover is selling for $16.47.
The book is due out Sept. 8 and promises to tell "the truth behind the political scandal that continues to rock the nation."
Illinois lawmakers impeached Blagojevich and threw him out of office in January after the Chicago Democrat was arrested on federal corruption charges.
Blagojevich is accused of trying to sell President Barack Obama's old Senate seat for personal and political gain. He's pleaded not guilty and it set to stand trial next summer.
Blagojevich signed the six-figure book deal earlier this year, prompting Democratic State Rep. Jack Franks to introduce a bill in the state legislature that would keep Blagojevich from getting any of the promised profits. If he's convicted, any proceeds would go to the state treasury.
"I don't want politicians to think that crime pays," Franks said in March. "I don't want these guys, these bad actors who are corrupt, profiting from their notoriety."
