Participants can access the entry forms at www.BrookfieldZoo.org/NameThisGorilla

Participants must complete the entry form online by suggesting a name and giving a 50- word or less explanation of why that name was chosen. The participant also needs to include his or her name, complete address, e-mail address (if available), and telephone number.

All entry forms can be submitted www.BrookfieldZoo.org/NameThisGorilla.

There is no purchase necessary to enter. One entry per person. All entries must be received electronically by June 23, 2005.

For the official rules go to the zoo's web site, or call (708) 485-0263, or while visiting the zoo stop by the Administration Building located near the south gates.

A team consisting of staff from Brookfield Zoo, CBS 2 and volunteers will decide on a name for the gorilla based on originality and connection to the zoo's mission and purpose. The zoo's mission is to inspire and motivate leadership by connecting people with wildlife and nature.

Brookfield is known worldwide for its innovative, naturalistic, and multi-species exhibits. The zoo is also known for having high standards for animal population management and wildlife conservation.

The winner will be announced on CBS 2 News at 11AM on Thursday, June 30, 2005.

The winner will receive a free day at Brookfield Zoo with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Tropic World gorilla exhibit along with four other guests. He or she will get to assist zookeepers in feeding the gorillas, have lunch with the zookeepers, and receive a "Share and Care" package along with a gorilla handprint.

In spirit of this contest and the birth of the new baby gorilla. CBS 2 Morning News is also asking kids to submit their own gorilla drawings. Throughout the contest one drawing will be shown each day on "CBS 2 News This Morning" which airs weekdays between 5 and 7a.m. Each child's drawing shown on the morning news will receive four general admission tickets and a parking pass to Brookfield Zoo along with a plush gorilla.
