Don Schwenneker is the meteorologist for CBS 2's 5:00 PM weekday newscast. Schwenneker received a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society and holds a Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association.

He joined CBS 2 as the weekend evening meteorologist in January 2008. Previously Schwenneker worked as meteorologist at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh (2000-2008). Before that Schwenneker was chief meteorologist at WTAJ-TV in Altoona, PA (1994-2000). He began his career as lead forecaster at KBIM-TV in Roswell, NM.

Schwenneker's career has roots in Chicago, as his first celebrity interview in broadcasting was with late Chicago Bear, Walter Payton.

He has been honored with two Associated Press Awards for Best Weathercast in New Mexico and in Pennsylvania.

Schwenneker and his wife, who is originally from Naperville, have three children.
